Groups
A group is a named set of users. Use a group to refer to a set of people once instead of managing each user individually — and, where application access control is turned on, to give that whole set access to a set of applications.
To create a group:
- Click the Account Settings button that appears in the top-right corner.
- Select Users & Activity → Groups. A list of all the groups in your account is displayed, with the members of each.
- Click the Create Group button.
- Fill out the Name of the group. Names must be 3-100 characters and can contain only letters, numbers, spaces, and hyphens.
- Optionally add a Description explaining what the group is for.
- From the Members dropdown menu, select the users to add. You can search the list by name or email.
- If your account uses application access control, mark the applications this group may work with in the Applications section; use Select all or Deselect all to set them in one click.
- Click Create.
To edit or delete a group: open the group's action menu and select Edit or Delete. Deleting a group does not delete or change its members — they keep their roles and simply stop belonging to that group; any applications the group gave them access to are no longer reachable through it.
About group application access: a user sees every application given to any of their groups, plus every application no group has been given. Account administrators see all of them regardless. Group membership is read from the sign-in session, so a user added to a group sees its applications after they next sign in or their session refreshes.
Note: The Applications section appears only for accounts where application access control has been turned on, and only for users who may manage roles and permissions.
